Mallorca Roars to Life

Mallorca is set to become the epicentre of European motorsport from 8 October 2026. At 18:00, the green flag will drop in Port Adriano to launch the sixth edition of the 550 Challenge de Mallorca.

This three-day event has established itself as a major fixture, attracting around 50 teams from eight nations, including drivers from Germany, Great Britain and New Zealand. The rally seamlessly blends high-octane sport with the Balearic Island’s picturesque scenery.

Over three days of competition, drivers will tackle 14 demanding timed stages, including spectacular coastal routes such as Estellencs – Andratx. The grid offers a fascinating mix: the speed category sees modern WRC machinery from Hyundai, VW and Ford battle for victory. Simultaneously, the island transforms into a rolling museum featuring cars from over 12 manufacturers. The line-up spans from modern racers to historic treasures dating back to the 1950s.

The marina of Port Adriano serves as the vibrant service park, offering fans direct access to the cars and a scale-model drift show on Saturday. For Mallorca, the rally provides a significant boost to sports tourism, driving business to hotels and restaurants outside the peak summer season.
